Open Gate Presents; Sunday Evening Concert Series
Open Gate has become adept at low budget/high ambition productions and avoiding being stopped by funding variables. In addition to doing it’s own work, Open Gate has produced many concerts that presented other, related artists. The most significant is our Sunday Evening Concert Series , curated by Alex Cline.
This is a monthly series that has continuously from 1997 - 2020, with twenty of those years at The Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock. It has been new music with an emphasis on improvisation. With two sets a night on the first Sunday of the month, that’s comes to over five hundred different sets of adventurous new music. We had to pause for Covid, but we are working to restart this vital music series. Your help is needed.
In 2019 alone we presented
